    Lance Hooks

Fished the timber between Cherokee and scout island. 1/8 oz Jig and crawler 30-35 FOW. I did not mark many fish. No Pods of fish. One fish here one there. Worked 20 foot all the way out to 60 FOW. 4 walleye bites produced 3 walleye for the freezer. Huge blue gills, several nice bass, 3 catfish and 2 drum. I caught EVERY fish on 1/8oz jig and a crawler. I ran a 1/4 oz jig and a crawler ALL day. NEVER got a bite.  Very good fishing lesson. If i fished all day with 1/4 oz jig I would have been skunked. A ONE EIGHTH OUNCE difference in jig head weight and I had a great day fishing. I went through 3 boxes of crawlers.
